Aimi Kato
BVMS MRCVS, Professional Services Veterinarian North UK & Ireland at IDEXXAimi graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2011 and, following a few years in small animal practice, completed a rotating internship at the University of Glasgow Small Animal Hospital in 2014. She joined IDEXX as a Professional Services Veterinarian covering the north of the UK & Ireland in 2019.

Dr. Carla Giuditta Vecchiato
Med Vet, PhD, EBVS® European Specialist in Veterinary and Comparative NutritionCarla Giuditta Vecchiato attained the title of European Specialist in Veterinary and Comparative Nutrition (ECVCN) in 2024 in Liège, Belgium, following the completion of a training program in Veterinary and Comparative Nutrition. Since 2023, she has served as a junior assistant professor at the Department of Veterinary Medical Sciences at the University of Bologna. Her research primarily focuses on nutritional strategies aimed at modulating the gut microbiota and managing small animal diseases, with particular emphasis on chronic enteropathies, obesity, and diabetes mellitus.

Carmel T Mooney
MVB MPhil PhD DipECVIM-CA FRCVSCarmel Mooney graduated from University College Dublin, Ireland in 1986 and spent the next 12 years working at Edinburgh and Glasgow Veterinary Schools. She has completed both MPhil and PhD theses on feline hyperthyroidism, and is both an RCVS Specialist in Small Animal Medicine (Endocrinology) and an EBVS® European Veterinary Specialist in Small Animal Internal Medicine. Since 1998 she has been working at University College Dublin both as an academic clinician and currently Clinical Director. Her major research and teaching areas are in endocrine disorders of dogs and cats. She has been Secretary and President of ECVIM-CA, founding Secretary of the European Society of Veterinary Endocrinology, and President of the British Small Animal Veterinary Association. She currently chairs the ECVIM-CA Clinical Studies Fund Committee and is Specialty Chief Editor for Frontiers in Veterinary Science Comparative and Clinical Medicine.

Dr. Cecilia Villaverde
BVSc, PhD, Diplomate ACVIM (Nutrition), Diplomate ECVCNCecilia Villaverde short bio: Cecilia Villaverde Haro, BVSc, PhD, Diplomate (Nutrition) of the ACVIM (Board Certified Veterinary Nutritionist®), Diplomate ECVCN (EBVS® European Specialist in Veterinary and Comparative Nutrition) She obtained her veterinary degree (2000) and PhD in animal nutrition (2005) from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). She is board-certified in small animal nutrition by both the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Nutrition) and the European College of Veterinary and Comparative Nutrition (ECVCN) since 2010, after completing a postdoctoral fellowship and residency in clinical small animal nutrition at the University of California, Davis (UCD) between 2005 and 2009. She worked as an associate professor in the Department of Animal and Food Science and was head of the nutrition service (Servei de Dietètica i Nutrició) at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital at UAB from 2010 to 2016. She is currently a clinical nutrition consultant for the Veterinary Information Network (VIN), as well as a consultant and co-founder of Expert Pet Nutrition (www.expertpetnutrition.com). She was a member of the WSAVA (World Small Animal Veterinary Association) Global Nutrition Committee from 2012 to 2025 and has authored multiple articles and book chapters on dog and cat nutrition.

Dr. Daniel Rodes
Regional Leader Purina Institute NPP Europe at Nestlé Purina PetCareAfter graduating from the Veterinary Faculty (Zaragoza-Spain), Daniel spent five years dedicated to research in several areas impacting pet health and animal welfare followed by a PhD at the University of Zaragoza. Daniel was subsequently appointed as Technician for Scientific Services in relevant Pharmaceutical companies in the Pet Health sector, followed by a move to Regional and Global Marketing and Technical positions with a strong communication role during 15 years. Daniel obtained several certificates and awards along his professional career, with special focus in the area of Science, Marketing and Communication. In 2018, coinciding with the foundation of the Purina Institute, Daniel took its regional leadership covering the area of EMENA as part of Nestlé Purina PetCare. Since then, through the amplification of the Purina Institute, as the voice of Purina´s research in the area of pet nutrition, Daniel has played an active role sharing fact-based research and scientific perspectives on key nutrition topics. He has hosted dozens of scientific events, and facilitated nutrition conversations via partnerships with relevant regional organizations and societies, such as the European Congress of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ECVIM-CA), the International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM), European College of Veterinary Comparative Nutrition (ECVCN), and European Society of Comparative Gastroenterology (ESCG), among others.

Dr. Jenifer Molina
PhD, Veterinary Medicine, NPPE VHCP Scientific Affairs Manager at Nestlé Purina PetCareJenifer finished her Veterinary degree in 2010 and her residency program in Small Animal Nutrition in 2016. She is doctor (PhD) in veterinary medicine and has worked as an associate professor in pet nutrition in the Veterinary School of the Universitat Autònoma of Barcelona (UAB) (Spain) where she was also managing the research line in pet nutrition of the Animal Nutrition and Welfare Service. She was in charge of the Small Animal Clinical Nutrition Service in the Hospital Clínic Veterinari (UAB). She joined Nestlé PURINA EMENA in 2017 and she is currently the Vet Health Care Professionals Scientific Affairs at Nestlé PURINA Europe. Jenifer has scientific communications in national and international congresses and publications in national and international peer reviewed journals.

Dr. Nancy De Briyne
DVM, EBVS® European Veterinary Specialist in Animal Welfare Science, Ethics and Law, Executive Director at FVEDr. Nancy De Briyne, DVM, EBVS® European Veterinary Specialist in Animal Welfare Science, Ethics and Law, Executive Director FVE. Nancy De Briyne studied veterinary medicine in Ghent (Belgium), graduating in 1996. After working as a veterinary practitioner in Belgium and the UK, she works since 2000 for the Federation of Veterinarians of Europe (FVE) being currently Executive Director of the FVE. Her overall role within FVE is to follow the strategy, oversee operations, and ensure the organization's goals and objectives are achieved. More specifically, she follows closely all dossiers in relation to veterinary medicines, animal health, AMR, animal welfare, and the status and role of the veterinary profession. She has been a member of the Management Board of the European Medicines Agency representing the veterinary profession for 6 years (2016-2022). She is a diplomate of the European College of Animal Welfare and Behavioural medicine, subspecialty Animal Welfare Science, Ethics and Law, and is a member of the EU Platform on Animal Welfare and many other European committees on animal health, welfare and public health. Priya Hamilton

In her current role, Priya is responsible for managing Purina's external corporate communications, stakeholder engagement, and public relations strategies to increase Purina's awareness and foster positive relationships with various audiences

Rosa Carbonell
Head of B2B & Veterinary Affairs at Nestlé Purina PetCare & FEDIAF PresidentRosa Carbonell, Head of B2B & Veterinary Affairs at Nestlé Purina PetCare & FEDIAF President Rosa has held various leadership roles; she started her career in UNILEVER Spain, in the FIC (Food Industry Cleaning), then moved to Rhone-Mériuex as Marketing Director in Spain and was quickly promoted to European Marketing Director at Merial SAS in France, where she established marketing networks, developed strategies for key product portfolios, and coordinated product launches and business development. She decided to relocate to Spain and joined a new role as Specialist Business Unit Director at Nestlé Petcare España S.A., then she joined the European team in Switzerland as Head of Veterinary Channel EMENA where she developed a regional expansion model, implemented a new business model, and led the execution of growth, profit, and market share objectives. She moved to the international hub in Barcelona as Head of Veterinary Advocacy Zone Europe and recently she has been appointed as Head of B2B and Veterinary Affairs Zone Europe with focus on driving business transformation, creating a robust B2B strategy, recommending portfolio strategies, and developing strategic alliances and partnerships. She is currently FEDIAF President (European Petfood Industry) and member of the Board of Directors.
